Strategy #1: Develop A Pre-Game Routine When it comes to game day, having a set routine can help you stay calm and collected so you can focus on leading your team to victory. Here are a few things to include in your pre-game routine: 1. Get a good night's sleep. 2. Warm up your arm by throwing the football around for at least 15 minutes. This will help prevent injuries and get you into game mode. 3. Visualize yourself completing successful plays. This positive reinforcement will help increase your confidence. 4. Eat a light, healthy meal or snack that will give you sustained energy throughout the game. Avoid sugary foods that will cause you to crash mid-game. 5. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water or sports drinks prior to kickoff. Dehydration can lead to fatigue and cramping, so it's important to stay properly hydrated. 6. Get mentally prepared by listening to music, reading inspirational quotes, or whatever else gets you pumped up for the game ahead. By following these simple tips, you can develop a pre-game routine that will help you feel confident and ready to take on anything come game time! Strategy #2: Increase Your Accuracy and Arm Strength In football, as in any sport, the key to success is practice. You can control how accurate your passes are and how strong your arm is. Increasing your accuracy and arm strength will make you a more well-rounded quarterback and a more valuable asset to your team. Here are some tips to help you increase your accuracy and arm strength: 1. Use a smaller ball when practicing. A smaller ball is easier to grip and will force you to be more accurate with your throws. 2. Incorporate weightlifting into your workout routine. This will help build up the muscles in your arms and shoulders, making it easier to throw with power. 3. Practice throwing on the run. This will not only improve your accuracy but also make you more elusive in the pocket. 4. Make sure you're following through with your throws. This means keeping your arm extended until the ball has left your hand. By doing this, you'll add velocity to your passes. 5. Take some time to work on your footwork. Having proper footwork will allow you to generate more power behind each throw. By following these tips, you'll be well on your way to becoming a standout high school quarterback! Strategy #3: Master the Playbook In order to be a standout quarterback in high school, you need to master the playbook. This means knowing all of the plays and being able to execute them flawlessly. It also means being able to read the defense and make adjustments at the line of scrimmage. If you can do all these things, you will be a very valuable asset to your team. Strategy #4: Utilize Your Feet The fourth strategy for becoming a standout high school quarterback is to utilize your feet. This means using your feet to move around in the pocket and to scramble when needed. It also means being able to run the ball when called upon. When you have the ability to do all of these things, it makes you a much more dangerous quarterback and a much tougher player to defend against. Strategy #5: Understand Defensive Strategies In American football, the quarterback is the leader of the offense. He is responsible for calling the plays and making sure the offense runs smoothly. The quarterback also has to be able to read the defense and make adjustments. If you want to be a standout quarterback in high school, you need to understand defensive strategies. Knowing what the defense is trying to do will help you make better decisions on offense. Here are some things to keep in mind when you're trying to read the defense: 1. Look at the alignment of the defenders. How are they lined up? This can give you an idea of what kind of defense they are playing. 2. Pay attention to the movement of the defenders before the snap. Are they moving around or standing still? This can clue you in on whether they're going to blitz or drop back in coverage. 3. Once the play starts, watch how the defenders react. Are they following their assignments or freelancing? This can help you determine if they're playing man-to-man or zone coverage. Understanding defensive strategies will make you a more effective quarterback on offense. Take some time to study up and learn as much as you can about playing defense in football. It'll pay off on game day! Strategy #6: Stay Mentally Focused In order to be a successful high school quarterback, it is important to stay mentally focused during games and practice. This means staying calm and composed under pressure, being able to read the defense, and making quick decisions. It is also important to have short-term and long-term goals in mind so that you can keep your eye on the prize and stay motivated. Strategy #7: Have a Positive Attitude The final strategy that will make you a standout high school quarterback is to have a positive attitude. This doesn’t mean that you should be happy all the time, but it does mean that you should approach your game and your team with a positive outlook. When you have a positive attitude, it shows in your play and in your leadership. Your teammates will respond positively to you, and they will be more likely to follow your lead. Having a positive attitude is contagious, so make sure that you are leading by example. Conclusion Being a standout high school quarterback is no easy feat, but with the right strategies, you can make it happen. By following these seven tips, you’ll be able to develop your skills and become one of the best quarterbacks in your league. I played Varsity football in my Junior and Senior years, where I was awarded the Best Defensive Player of 2021 and made the team’s captain. • Ravens Vs Falcons Preview 2022 Season Week 16 NFL (12/22/22)

In this week of team vs team, we have the Ravens vs Falcons in a playoff deciding game (Well at least for the Ravens). Don't get me wrong, Falcons are still in the playoff run as the NFC South is the worst division in football. Falcons need a win to keep their playoff hopes in check. One loss to the Falcons can guarantee them that the season is over as for the Ravens, they got some wiggle room. They can clinch the playoffs either this week or next. However, Lamar Jackson was ruled out. This is big for the Falcons meaning Tyler Huntley would be starting for the Ravens. The Falcons' offense has had trouble lately. In five of its last six games, Atlanta has scored 18 points or fewer, and little changed in Week 15 in New Orleans. By benching its free agency quarterback Marcus Mariota, the team handed the offense over to rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder. Ridder performed identically like Mariota, completing just 13 of his 26 passes for 97 yards and no touchdowns or picks. Lamar Jackson, the Ravens' starting quarterback, has been out for the last two games as well as the most of the prior three. However, things got worse on Saturday when they lost 13-3 in Cleveland. With the Under going 5-1 in the last 6 games, Baltimore is currently just 1-4 in its last 5 contests. AFC North NFC South #1 Bengals (10-4) #1 Buccaneers (6-8) #2 Ravens (9-5) #2 Panthers (5-9) #3 Browns (6-8) #3 Saints (5-9) #4 Steelers (6-8) #4 Falcons (5-9) Top Fantasy Leaders Ravens Lamar Jackson (236 Points) Falcons Marcus Mariota (196 Points) Teams Stat Leader Falcons Ravens Passing Yards Marcus Mariota 2219 Yards Lamar Jackson 2242 Yards Rushing Yards Tyler Allgeier 743 Yards Lamar Jackson 764 Yards Receiving Yards Drake London 603 Yards Mark Andrews 702 Yards The Falcons' offense has had trouble lately. Lamar Jackson, the Ravens' starting quarterback, has been out for the last two games as well as the most of the prior three. However, things got worse on Saturday when they lost 13-3 in Cleveland. With their record the first 5 games of the season being 3-2. Baltimore is currently just 3-2 in its last 5 games. Game: @Baltimore, MD, CAPACITY: 70,745 , weather: 20 Degrees Line: BAL -6.5 Over/Under: 35.5 I would of said the Ravens with Lamar playing. However, this time it will be Huntley. I believe that the Falcons will win this game. My prediction (Falcons 25-14) Home: Baltimore Ravens 9-5, 4-2 HOME Away: Atlanta Falcons 5-9, 1-6 AWAY

  • Jaguars Vs Jets Preview 2022 Season Week 16 NFL (12/22/22)

In this week of team vs team, we have the Jaguars vs Jets in a playoff deciding game. Both of these teams need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. One loss to each of these teams is detrimental to their playoff chances. Ever since coming out of Clemson, Trevor Lawrence was the player everybody was hyping up. Lawrence has completed 70.4 percent of his throws for 1,680 yards, 14 touchdowns, and one interception in his last six games. He's also gained 140 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Lawrence has thrown seven interceptions and 24 touchdowns over the whole season. Wilson made some accurate deep throws in his first game back in the starting lineup against the Lions on Sunday, but he still sometimes misses wide-open receivers. He led the Jets to a great record before being benched after the Patriots game. AFC East AFC South #1 Bills (11-3) #1 Titans (7-7) #2 Dolphins (8-6) #2 Jaguars (6-8) #3 Patriots (7-7) #3 Colts (4-9-1) #4 Jets (7-7) #4 Texans (1-12-1) Top Fantasy Leaders Jets Garrett Wilson (188 Points) Jaguars Trevor Lawrence (262 Points) Teams Stat Leader Jaguars Jets Passing Yards Trevor Lawrence 3520 Yards Zach Wilson 1596 Yards Rushing Yards Travis Etienne Jr. 917 Yards Breece Hall 463 Yards Receiving Yards Christian Kirk 966 Yards Garrett Wilson 966 Yards The Jets (7-7/8-6 against the spread), who are no longer in the running for the AFC East title, having dropped three straight games after winning six of their previous eight. They are currently one game shy of an AFC wild-card spot. It was especially upsetting to lose to Detroit at home 20-17 on Sunday. However, they would qualify for the playoffs with some assistance if they defeat Jacksonville on Thursday and then win at Seattle and Miami. After a five-game losing streak, Jacksonville (6-8 SU/6-8 ATS) has won four of its last six games. The Jags now have their sights set on the AFC South title rather than a wild-card spot. Game: @East Rutherford, NJ, CAPACITY: 82,500, weather: 44 Degrees with Chance of rain This game will be close and I feel like it could go both ways. But I feel like the Jaguars will win 34-20 in a close game until the end. I believe Zach Wilson with throw 2 Touchdowns and 3 Interceptions and Trevor Lawrence will throw 3 Touchdowns and run for 1. Home: New York Jets 7-7, 3-4 HOME Away: Jacksonville Jaguars 6-8, 2-5 AWAY
