Ravens Vs Falcons Preview 2022 Season Week 16 NFL (12/22/22)
In this week of team vs team, we have the Ravens vs Falcons in a playoff deciding game (Well at least for the Ravens). Don't get me wrong, Falcons are still in the playoff run as the NFC South is the worst division in football. Falcons need a win to keep their playoff hopes in check. One loss to the Falcons can guarantee them that the season is over as for the Ravens, they got some wiggle room. They can clinch the playoffs either this week or next. However, Lamar Jackson was ruled out. This is big for the Falcons meaning Tyler Huntley would be starting for the Ravens.
The Falcons' offense has had trouble lately. In five of its last six games, Atlanta has scored 18 points or fewer, and little changed in Week 15 in New Orleans.
By benching its free agency quarterback Marcus Mariota, the team handed the offense over to rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder. Ridder performed identically like Mariota, completing just 13 of his 26 passes for 97 yards and no touchdowns or picks.
Lamar Jackson, the Ravens' starting quarterback, has been out for the last two games as well as the most of the prior three. However, things got worse on Saturday when they lost 13-3 in Cleveland.
With the Under going 5-1 in the last 6 games, Baltimore is currently just 1-4 in its last 5 contests.
